CYBORG ARTIST

MUSICIAN

Kai Landre is a 23-year-old Cyborg artist, born and based in Barcelona. His first cyborg sense, the Cosmic Sense, captures subatomic particles created from the fall of cosmic rays into the planet's atmosphere. At the moment of capture, he translates each captured particle into a sound and identifies each one with a musical note. This process of perceiving a revealed reality allows Kai to compose live music with melodies created by the space. He works in the fields of music, technology, education and audiovisual. With the double release “Human” he reflects on the process of leaving his humanity behind to move on to his latest EP, “Cyborg”, in which he explores his new identity. Kai Landre is a member of the Cyborg Foundation, a platform founded by Neil Harbisson, focused on the research, development and promotion of projects related to the creation of new senses and perceptions, applying technology to the human body. Cosmic Sense has been officially launched at Princeton University during the Envision Conference, an annual conference presenting the latest advances in research, practice and technology. The young artist has received support from media such as Wired, The Voice of America, Vice, I-D Magazine, and has worked with brands such as Palomo Spain, Camper, Nike, Puma, Guillem Rodríguez, Victor von Schwartz, Pull&Bear and Adidas. He has performed at the Loom Festival, Room Number and at BAM 2021. His live performance has also been seen in venues such as Abaixadors10, Apolo, Razzmatazz and Soho House in addition to having participated in Ted Talk and Hacker's Congress Paralelni Polis 2022 in Prague. 2024 has some exciting things in store for Kai Landre, one being the release of his “CYBORG GENERATION” documentary. The film showcases his transition from human to cyborg and has been following his journey for 3 years. In addition, we will also be hearing some new music.
